Ultra thin marble aluminum based composite panels are produced on a large scale by combining 0.8mm stone with aviation grade aluminum substrates, resulting in a total thickness of only 2mm. However, their compressive strength is 3-5 times that of traditional stone. The One Kleomenous residence in Athens, Greece, uses 2290 pieces of this material to create a curved facade, showcasing the soft texture of the stone.
